Meet the Team

The MSK Physiotherapy team consists of highly specialised physiotherapists, physiotherapy assistants and exercise professionals.

Our team is spread out over the Great Yarmouth and Waveney area and most team members cover a number of different sites. We’ve designed this page to give you a chance to meet our wonderful team to hopefully help you feel a bit more at ease if and when you might need to reach out to us for help.

Chris Thompson

Job role/qualifications: Community Orthopaedic Physiotherapist. BSc Hons Sports Rehabilitation & Injury Prevention. Pre-registration MSc in Physiotherapy

Area/s of interest: Orthopaedic surgery, joint replacement surgery, rehabilitation post-fracture

Hobbies outside of work: Golf, cycling, gym

Colin Whiteman

Job role/qualifications: Extended Scope Practitioner with the Musculoskeletal Triage Service. BSc Physiotherapy, PGDip Advanced Physiotherapy, Injection Therapy

Area/s of interest: Assessment and management of persistent pain

Hobbies outside of work: Golf, swimming, dog walking, family time

Daniel Hale

Job role/qualifications: Exercise Professional. BSc (Hons) Fitness Science, Level 4 Low Back Pain Management, Level 3 Sports Therapy Diploma and GP referral experience

Areas of particular interest: Strength and balance work, functional training and falls prevention

Hobbies outside work: Cross-fit, horse riding, strength training

David Mayordomo Fernandes

Job role/qualifications: Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. BSc in Physiotherapy from the University of Bradford

Areas of particular interest: Strength and conditioning, sport injuries (rugby), back pain rehabilitation, functional training, persistent pain

Hobbies outside work: DIY, cooking and walking dogs

Eden Simmonds

Job role/qualifications: Physiotherapist (rotational). BSc in Physiotherapy

Areas of particular interest: General musculoskeletal disorders and the shoulder

Hobbies outside work: Playing football, travelling, running

Emma Lansdell

Job role/qualifications: Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with over 22 years of experience of working in the UK and abroad. Emma also has a MSc and BSc in Physiotherapy

Areas of particular interest: Persistent pain management and clinical governance

Hobbies outside work: Dog walking, watching football and trustee for local charity

Kieran Morling

Job role/qualifications: Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, qualified from Coventry University in 2003. He achieved a post-graduate diploma in Advanced Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 2014 from the University of Hertfordshire. He is a qualified Health Coach trainer and trains other NHS members of staff

Areas of particular interest: Persistent pain, the importance of language in healthcare and strength and conditioning training

Hobbies outside work: Football, DJing, DIY and the gym

Laura Honeywood

Job role/qualifications: MSc (hons) Physiotherapy, BSc (hons) Sports Therapy

Areas of particular interest: Orthopaedics, shoulder

Hobbies outside work: Rugby, cycling

Liz Toole

Job role/qualifications: Physiotherapy Rehabilitation Assistant with 3 years of NHS experience

Areas of particular interest: Community-based rehabilitation of housebound patients

Hobbies outside work: Walking

Martin MacDonald

Job role/qualifications: Extended Scope Practitioner with over 12 years of physiotherapy experience in a range of areas, including the NHS and private sectors. He has an MSc Physiotherapy and is currently studying for PGCert Advanced Musculoskeletal Assessment and Practice – including becoming a non-medical prescriber. He is joint and soft tissue injection trained and also has a BSc in Sports Science

Areas of particular interest: Persistent pain, osteoarthritis and exercise therapy

Hobbies outside work: Triathlons, tennis, travelling and spending time with his young family

Rachael Barran

Job role/qualifications: Qualified from Coventry University in 2014. She works within both the orthopaedic community team and the MSK outpatient department

Areas of particular interest: Acute sports injuries and shoulder conditions

Hobbies outside work: Animal lover, proud owner of a macaw and Newfoundland. Enjoys outside activities, yoga and general sports

Stuart Calver

Job role/qualifications: Qualified in 1993 from Oswestry School of Physiotherapy and post-graduate MSc UEA in 2010. Over 20 years working within the NHS with some private clinic and GP surgery experience

Areas of particular interest: Musculoskeletal conditions, particularly those affecting the shoulder and orthopaedics

Hobbies outside work: Running and cycling

Suzanne Blowers

Job role/qualifications: BSc Hons Physiotherapy

Areas of particular interest: Rheumatology, persistent pain, back exercise classes

Hobbies outside work: Walking/running, travelling/exploring new places, baking

Tanya Fryer

Job role/qualifications: Band 7 Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist & Team Leader for MSK at Shrublands and Orthopaedic Community in the North. Graduated in 2001 from Coventry University - BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy

Areas of particular interest: General MSK disorders, giving people the ability to manage their conditions through education and suitable management strategies

Hobbies outside work: Spending time with my family, walking, reading & baking

Louise Morca

Job role/qualifications: Musculoskeletal and Community Orthopaedic Physiotherapist. BSc (hons) Physiotherapy from Sheffield Hallam University in 2011.

Area/s of particular interest: General musculoskeletal disorders and orthopaedics

Hobbies outside of work: Swimming and spending time with family

Ben Parish

Job role/qualifications: Band 6 MSK Physiotherapist (BSc Hons in Physiotherapy, MSc in Musculoskeletal Practice)

Areas of particular interest: Persistent pain in MSK patients

Hobbies outside work: Volunteering in community projects, watching & playing sports

Jane King

Job role/qualifications: Exercise Professional. NVQ level II and III in Health and Social Care

Areas of particular interest: Community orthopaedics for hip fractures, total hip replacements, wrist fractures and knee replacements. Exercise classes for backs, hips and knees

Hobbies outside work: Yoga, Zumba, walking the dog, movies and spending time with family

Sarah Dyche

Job role/qualifications: GP MBBS, MRCGP, PGCert Medical Education, studying for PGDip SEM (sports and exercise medicine).

Areas of particular interest: MSK, sports and exercise medicine and service transformation

Hobbies outside work: Rugby, netball and cooking

Jessica Cleevely

Job role/qualifications: MSK Specialist Physiotherapist in MSK Triage and MSK Physiotherapist. BSc Physiotherapy graduating from Hertfordshire University 2008.

Areas of particular interest: Specialist interest in persistent pain and complexity in musculoskeletal conditions

Hobbies outside work: Spinning and keeping fit, house renovations and being outdoors with the family
